The scene is Boulder, CO, 3 days after the 2004 U.S. presidential elections. G.W. Bush has won. The nation has accepted the results, but remains sharply divided. For many, the painful question is, "How could this have happened?" For many, there is the feeling of living in different country, not the same country that could have chosen a leader whom they see as responsible for so much injustice in the world.

Saul Williams takes the stage. He launches into a few tracks from his new CD, a self-titled tour de force of hard core, politically-charged consciousness hip-hop poetry rock. Everyone is waiting for something: we're waiting for him to speak.

Integral Naked was honored to be present—cameras rolling—for this uniquely moving performance. The following clips capture the soul of Saul as he sorts through the emotional, political, and spiritual aftermath of an election destined to have a profound impact on the world, for better or for worse....

Saul's conclusion: we need to reach out to, embrace, dialogue with, make love with that other half of the country—those who don't share "our" political views. Witness the birth of an integral politics, one which can begin to honor, indeed love, all levels and sides, while at the same time embodying the highest within us....
