Integral Consciousness Seminar in April of 2005

According to the Bible, Moses led the Hebrews from slavery to the Promised Land—but was not himself allowed to enter that Divine Destination. Will it be the same for the pioneers of Integral consciousness? Will we ever really inhabit a world that respects all cultures, races, sexes, and sexual orientations, while actualizing the depths of our Promised Potential?

We can't help but despair sometimes, as this questioner relates. Are we on the edge of the Integral Promised Land? Will we ever really get there??? Watch this video clip, from a 2005 Integral Consciousness seminar, for Ken’s response.

Here Ken examines the "dismal science" of economics, calling attention to the fact that most economic theories and models do not take into account the interior motivations behind the exchange of goods and services.  He discusses the different economic drivers that drastically influence economies, most notably those associated with developmental levels.

There are, to use Spiral Dynamics terminology, purple economics, red economics, blue economics, orange economics, green economics, second-tier economics, etc.  An integral model of economics would, of course, honor and find a place for all of these, fostering healthy interactions between all the various economic models, as well as appreciate the interior motivations and exterior conditions of both individuals and societies.
